Anfield Set to Welcome Full Capacity Crowd as Liverpool FC Prepares for Manchester United Clash

Liverpool FC will host Manchester United on Sunday with the largest crowd in 50 years

Anfield is set to welcome a full capacity crowd for the first time in 50 years when Liverpool FC hosts Manchester United on Sunday. The new images show the upper-tier seats fully installed and a first look at the new extended general admission area. With the new upper tier of the Anfield Road Stand now in use, the stadium's capacity has been increased to 54,000.

The phased opening of a redeveloped Anfield Road Stand built at a cost of £80million ($101m) over the summer has been completed.

The new stand includes 7,000 additional seats, taking the total capacity of the stadium to 54,000. The redevelopment of the Anfield Road Stand is part of a wider £200million ($252m) redevelopment of the stadium, which is due to be completed in 2023. The new stand will provide improved facilities for fans, including new concourses, food and beverage outlets, and toilets. It will also feature a new club shop and museum.

Liverpool FC is hoping that the new stand will help to create a more intimidating atmosphere for visiting teams. The club has a proud record at Anfield, and the new stand will only add to the home advantage. Manchester United will be the first team to face Liverpool FC in front of a full capacity crowd at Anfield since 1973. The Red Devils will be looking to spoil the party and end Liverpool's unbeaten home record in the Premier League.
